Art Deco style with symmetrical images, curves, geometric lines, was prominent in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The origins date back to the early 1900’s and mark a historical period with the elevation of artisans to an official status as decorative artists versus simply artisans. The handmade bag is constructed with 100% cotton canvas and lined with 100% cotton quilting fabric. The print on the canvas is done in the US with eco-friendly, water-based inks. The design was created by an independent artist. Approximate size 6” x7” with a bottom gusset that creates more interior space and allows the bag to stand upright.
The bag can be washed in cool water on the delicate cycle and air dried to avoid shrinking. Lightly pressing on the cotton setting of an iron will smooth out the canvas.
